The Sikh Education Aid Fund is pleased to announce its awards for 1994. We had a Significant increase in the number of students who are seeking aid. The Awards Committee (appointed by the Association of Sikh Professionals) reviewed all the applications and has selected the following students for aid. The amount of aid disbursed this year ranges from $500 to $3500 per student and is deter Thinned by the need and academic Ability, We wish to thank all those ‘who contributed funds and to all those individuals who helped in numerous other ways. The following were selected: + Priyadarsh K Tulsi is from Silver Springs, Maryland. She has finished College and is on her way 16 First Year Medical School in U VA, Charlottesville, Va.
*Sarika Matta from Burtonsville Md. She has just finished High School and is now starting at the Univ, of Maryland in Pharmacy. Sandeep K. Kaisth has finished her College degree and has now been accepted into a 1yearcourse at the University of Wisconsin in International Development Program.
Nivroop Kaur Jassal has finished High School (GPA 4.35) in San Jose, CA and is college bound at Univ. of CA a Berkeley; She is hoping to do Medicine.
Simarjot Kaur Jassal has finished College and has been selected to Medical School at Stanford although she is only 19; she is a National Merit Scholar. *Damanjit Kaur, from Chicago has recently moved here from India. She is now doing a course to be a PA (Physicians’ Assistant).
