NEW DELHI: The congress last week declared PAPO ruling Limboo faction of the Sikkim Sangram Parishad and dismissed the possibility of President’s Rule being imposed in the state.

The SSP(S) led by the Chief Minister Sanchaman Limboo has offered to merge with the Congress but a decision of the matter would be taken by the Congress Working Committee when it meets next party spokesman V.N. Gadgil said here meanwhile Limboo said he had apprised Prime Minister Narasimha Rao Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Atal Behari Vajpayee Janata Dal leader George Fernandes and certain other leaders of the political developments in the state.

Limboo claimed that they agreed that there was no constitutional crisis in the state. The political ‘crisis is there only due to the resignations by 15 MLAs he said.
