With deep respect, we would like to share the sorrowful news regarding death of the father of imminent New York Civil Liberty Lawyer Ms. Mary Pike, The sad end for her father came after a lengthy illness.
Ms. Pike is a very good friend of the Sikh community and a champion for Human Rights, she has continually raised her strong voice against atrocities by oppressive regimes, she is also a member of the team who represent Bhai Ranjit Singh and Bhai Sukhminder Singh alias Kuki & Sukhi. Both of these brave young soldiers of Sikh Nation were arrested and have been under detention since May 14, 1987. Govt of India is trying for the extradition of Bhai Kuki and Bhai Sukhy for a situation as of Bhai Sukha and Jinda. Against odds for last eight years a great team of lawyers like William Kuntsler, Ronald Kuby and Ms, Mary Pike has successfully overcame all attempts made by Government of India against the extradition of Bhai Kuki and Sukhi.
All the staff and administrative board along with our valued readers of World Sikh News offer their heartfelt of condolences to Ms. Pike and pray to Almighty God that her father may rest in peace.
