WASHINGTON, DC: The greatest threat to India is not from Sikhs as stated by comrade Harkishan Singh Surjit in the Vancouver “Sun” but is from the Ruling Brahmins and their communist supporters. It is their facism and centralization of power which has alienated Sikhs, Kashmiris, Assames, Oryas Jharkhandis and Gorkhas and has led India to the verge of disintegration, said S. Didar Singh Bains, president World Sikh Organization International.

In a written statement S. Bains asked, “Can comrade Surjit deny the mutilation of the Constitution of India by hundreds of amendments to it, enabling the ruling class to pass and enact Black laws like TADA N.S.A. or J&K special powers act by virtue of which they can arrest any person without any charge and without any trial for years, No force can keep the country together. The Soviet Union fell apart. Yugoslavia is disintegrating and comrade Surjit should read the writing on the wall, India is next.

  1. Bains states, that, ” Comrade Surjit belongs to communist philosophy where religion is a taboo. Though he looks like a Sikh he does not believe in God or Sikhism. He is no judge of the injured Sikh Psyche after the attack by the Indian Army on their Vatican, the Golden Temple. He leads a party which is totally anti Sikh and for this reason his party could not secure even one per cent of the popular note in Punjab. He has no right to express his views cither as a Sikh or as a Punjab leader.

Comrade Surjit talks of having “nota lot of internal support to the Sikh Freedom fighters.” It is a misleading and a mischievous statement. The boycott of elections by 90% Punjabis and en masse resignations of village leaders are enough to prove in which direction the wind is blowing. But still if his party or the government that they support has any doubt, why don’t they come forward and hold a referendum under the auspices of the United Nations on the issue of Khalistan,

Comrade Singh talks of innocent killing in Punjab. Can comrade explain to the world how the Sikh boys are arrested without any change and then killed in fake encounter. How come convicted murders are recruited into killing squads Black Cats or Azthar Alam Sena. Can he tell the world what happened in Delhi and elsewhere in India in Nov. 1984. Is it not true that they have banned the entry of Amnesty International so that they hide their heinous crimes.

I wonder from where comrade got the impression of a change of mood, I have not heard him speaking in any Sikh gathering. I openly declare that World Sikh Organization firmly believes in Khalistan as the only alternative and we fully support the struggic for freedom in Punjab.”
