Dear Editor,
I am responding to the news that appeared in your newspaper on Feb.24,95 in which it was reported that Buta Singh and other congress leaders were honored at Teja Singh Samundri Hall, Amritsar on Feb. 15.95. As your news report says that Buta Singh was presented with a Siropa. What was the reason for presenting a highest honor the Sikhs can bestow to al person who is a renegade shame faced. enemy of the Sikh Nation? After getting crumbs from his Delhi masters this today has given a recent statement defending the operation Blue Star and even patched up with another tyrant Beant Singh who has bloated himself with the blood of innocent Sikhs and is still not satiated.
Sikhs have always got inspiration from their royal and proud heritage and it has been their source of succor in times of stress. Sikhs have always lived with honor and even sacrificed their lives to protect their honor. But never have they compromised with the evil and honored their oppressors. But if the Sikh leaders like Badal and Tohra continue to vacillate from the clear goal of Khalistan and even at present juncture are prepared to ditch the Amritsar agreement for their personal gains, then the Sikh masses should have no hesitation to consign these opportunistic sycophants to the dust bin of history. that is the place where they belong to. Badal and Tohra concealed their evil intentions at a time when the Sikh militancy was at its peak. Now when those young freedom fighters of the Sikh Nation lay dead after giving heroic fight to the brutal enemy, Badal and Tohra are ready to trample the soul of the Sikh Nation and their real pretensions lay bared. They could not summon enough courage to sooth the bereaving mothers, sisters, fathers and brothers of those martyrs of the Sikh Nation. In this desolate landscape the only source of hope is Simranjit Singh Mann who is leading the Sikh Nation’s struggle for freedom. No Sikh leader of any sub- stance in Punjab has initiated any plan to free Mann from incarceration. No strategies seem to have been planned to free Khalistan from the most vicious tyrannical, despotic police and congress nexus that has utter disregard for human life, dignity and freedom and no fear of God, if the Indian State has no respect for life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for the Sikh Nation, that is a God given sacred covenant given to man, then the Sikhs owe no allegiance to the Indian State either.
It will be real pertinent to mention the role that the Akal Takhat Jathedar S. Manjit Singh has played in the present Sikh struggle. By attending the religious conference at London which was presided by the Indian High Commissioner Singhvi in August 1994, and by choosing to speak in a language alien to the Sikhs and by seating himself at a lower level than the royal couch like seat offered to another Hindu religious leader, the jathedar not only lowered the sanctity of the Akal Takhat but also demonstrated that he was not ac- corded a place equal among equals. Jathedar also owes an explanation to the Sikh Nation about his role in condoning Buta Singh and his recent recognition done by SGPC at Teja Singh Samundari hall. Jathedar has never ex-communicated Beant Singh and KPS Gill, the soul-less tyrants of the Sikh Nation and has never come out with clear directives to lead the Sikhs to their legitimate goal of freedom. Has he ever issued a directive to the Sikh police officers and army men to stop oppression and crimes against helpless and innocent people? If he does not keep the Sikh psyche on an oven keel at this crucial juncture of their history, then who else will do it? After all Jathedar Gather is the leader of the immortal throne of the Sikhs in the worldly affairs. If the throne he represents its immortal, then why he does not come up with the deeds that prove everlasting character of the Sikh Nation and the immortal throne that is their psyche. Success can be re-deemed by the Sikh Nation if we keep ourselves level headed and keep our goal for free and sovereign Khalistan crystal clear in our minds and work methodically to achieve it and never get distracted from cacophonies were hear from time to time. God is always on the side of the truth. Ours is the fight for justice and horror. Tyrants always are winners in the short run but the victory belongs to the truth and it is everlasting. The breath of freedom is fresh, sweet, invigorating, rejuvenating and intoxicating. Let all of us in the name of the Sikh Nation keep an eternal faith in Guru Granth Sahib, the source of our spiritual food, reach for that nectar. We have tested it before in history and let us get it and taste it until eternity.
