AMRITSAR: The Ludhiana office of the IHRO has reported the case of Amarjit Singh Panjwar to the Amnesty Int. Team in New Delhi as well as Asia Watch and the International Jurists (NGO) office in Geneva.
Panjwar 35 is the son of Kashmir Singh and brother of well-known Khalistan Commando Force Chief Parmjit Singh Panjwar.
He was abducted by police from his work place the Amritsar Cooperative Bank on Friday Noy.20 Information released by D.S.Gill THRO chairman indicated that he (Amarjit) was arrested because of his brothers activities and the angry Punjab police destroyed some winter crops to vent their frustrations. IHRO asks that you keep attention focused on the fate of this individual as they fear his death while he remains in police custody.
