Amritsar and Chandigarh, in the plains of Punjab, experienced the coldest day in the past more than a decade when the mercury plummeted to 0.3 degree Celsius,

Srinagar and Jammu, in the picturesque state of Jammu and Kashmir, were reeling under minus two and two Celsius.
