NEW DELHI(PTI): A Delhi court last week issued fresh commons to Congress leader and member of parliament from Delhi Sajjan Kumar for his appearance on April 27 in a case relating to his alleged involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Metropolitan magistrate Vinod Kumar who had issued summons to Sajjan Kumar and another accused, lshwar Singh on March I, adjourned the case to April 27.
The case pertains to an affidavit filed by one Tejwant Singh. Saying he had seen Sajjan Kumarleading a large number of people during the violence against Sikhs in a west Delhi locality.
More than 2,000 people were killed in Delhi alone in the worst anti-Sikh riots in 1984 following the assassination of then prime minister Indira Gandhi by her bodyguards.
