The world appears unmoved by our suffering and uncaring of it. Our internal diviSive practices continue to sap our ‘Strength. A reign of terror persists in Punjab. But there is no room for such pessimism in Sikhs’ View; 1992 saw some progress Over 1991. Sikhs have actively sought to make their mark in the complex political map of the United States and Canada. They have learned not to look to India for succor but instead reach internally into their own society for Strength. Amnesty Interactional clearly placed India’s dismal record On the Interactional stage. The internal dissensions whether over political differences or the history and interpretation of gurbani no longer point to paralyzing strife but signal a healthy debate which will continue to energize us. In this crucial process, the World Sikh News has an increasingly Significant role to play. It not only chronicles our many and varied efforts but also helps to knit the internationally far flung comers of our community into a powerful and rich mosaic.
