OTTAWA : 2Jean Chretien is moving swiftly to take the reins of power “Tam anxious, very anxious, to start my job,” he said at his first news Conference as Prime Minister designate. “Our first priority will be to work on the economy,” said Chretien, elected with a strong majority of ‘177, Liberal MP’s, H’8 priorities are 1) to start night away on his $6 billion job creation program 2) to cancel the $5.6 billion EH101 helicopter deal as soon as he gets into office and to review the NAFTA Agreement.
