NEW DELHI(PTI):Serious concern was expressed in the Indian Parliament over sale of long-range M11 missiles by China to Parisian and the sevenfold increase in U.S. arms sale to Pakistan. Making special mention, Suresh Kalmadi of the ruling Congress l, said in the upper house of Parliament that India was being: discriminated in the matter of transfer of technology. He criticized the pressure brought in by the U.S. on Russia to deny India the cryogenic rocket technology recently.
At the same time U.S. chose to ignore China selling missile technology to Pakistan and brought no sanction against it, he said adding it was a clear act of discrimination against India, He also expressed serious concern that the M11 missiles could be used by Pakistan to launch nuclear weapons, In another special mention, V.Narayanasamy, CongressI, expressed concem at the sevenfold increase in US arms sale to Pakistan during the last two years.
He said money received by Pakistan from U S under narcotics control program was being diverted for military expenditure. Narayanasamy urged the government of India to take up the matter with the US administration to stop indiscriminate supply of arms to Pakistan.
