He reached another traders town Tanda of Faizabad and then Nizamabad via Singholi (Azamgarh) here again ahistorical Gurdwara marks the memory of Guru Nanak. Then at Prayag (Allahabad) Gura Nanak recited a hymn. The Purani Jhust, a place near the Tribaini Sangham of praying has a long local standing tradition connected with the Guru’s stay there.
From Jhusi Guru Nanak reached Banaras, He had a long stay at Banaras; He resided in Kamehha area a short distance from Banaras railway station. Where there is a historical Gurdwara marking the memory of Guru Nanak. Banaras o Dhubri First stop over was at Gaya a Center of pilgrimages, both for Hindus and Buddhists, Then at Hajipur, which later on developed into Patna. When the Guru reached there, there were ruins of the ancient city of Patli putra and no living town existed except Hazi pur on the northern bank of the Ganga. At Hazi Pur there is an old Gurdwara commemorating the stay of Guru Nanak. Then Guru Nanak arrived at Kantnagar (Purnca) Via Mongyr and Bhagalpur. Kantnagar has an old Gurdwara in the memory of Guns Nanak. Before reaching Dhubri, the chief town of Goalpura district, Guru Nanak reached Malda, a reputed Sufi center. Guru Nanak had discussions with local Sufi saints.
