KANCHEEPURAM (PTD):Federal Interior Minister Shankarrao Bhaurao Chavan has ruled out any threat to Jayalalitha’s government from a Sri Lankan secessionist Outfit in Tamil Nadu.
When asked to clarify his recent Statement that the outlawed Lankan Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was active in the southern State Chavan said terrorism was on the increase in several states and Tamil Nadu was no exception. “However, we are keeping a close watch on those people (LTTE) here,” he said.
Answering another question on chief minister Jayalalitha’s charge that the federal government and the Congress high command were conspiring to topple her government, Chavan said he was yet to go through the “authentic version of her speech.
