Chandigarh: Mr. K. Banerjee the advisor to the administrator of Chandigarh i.e. the Governor of Punjab, has been given extension by the government of India until March 31st 1986. Mr. Banerjee was scheduled to retire on November 30. Extension to Mr. Banerjee was significant in the context of Longowal. Rajiv Accord which says Chandigarh should come to Punjab on Jan. 26th 1986.
