The joint declaration which is in the form of a manifesto is not any different from Janmorcha’s pledge and its charter which calls for national unity, and elimination of corruption at all levels and to initiate an effective machinery to work at high places, put an end to ‘concentration of economic power, and atrocities against the minorities. It also calls for providing employment, and education opportunities to socially declined sections. It underlines the need for electoral reforms and for a new economic policy and price stability and the revival of Swadeshi spirit. It also emphasizes the de- centralization of political and economic power.
