CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government’s plea that Indian government should make available to the state additional Rs 300 crore for next year’s annual plan has been turned down. Thus the size of the Punjab plan is Rs 634 crore as compared to the original size of Rs 1150 crore, In the absence of requisite money, the in Dam and Shahpur Kandhi hydroelectric schemes as well as the extension of the Bathinda thermal plant would be affected, the state government sources said.
