NEW DELHI: Local Congress (1) leader, Sajjan Kumar was questioned by officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation for his alleged involvement in the massacre of Sikhs in Delhi in 1984.
Hundreds of Sajjan Kumar’s supporters gathered at his home in West Delhi and smashed three government owned buses and two vehicles of the CBI in anger at his being questioned.
Kumar claimed the CBI “did not have any papers or warrants of arrest against me” when they questioned him.
The Congress I leader was meanwhile, granted anticipatory bail Tuesday by the Delhi high court in the trial over his involvement in the 1984 riots,
The judge also directed him to cooperate in the investigation by the CBI into the riots.
