DEHLI India: A case has been filed against the “Radiance Views weekly” by the Delhi Administration u/s 153A IPC.

Ausaf Saied Vasfi, Asst. Editor of the Views weekly, visited Ahmedabad recently to collect information and assess and analyses the situation obtaining there after the July 913, communal disturbance, which claimed 66 lives. Afier collecting the necessary information and data, he published his analysis in the issue on August 1723 captioned “An on the Spot Study of Ahmedabad”.

The Administration has taken objection to the publication and it has advised the police to file a case against the writer of the article, u/s 153A IPC. Upon knowledge of the registration of the said case, an application u/s 438/CrPC has been filed in the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Delhi. It was heard on Sept, 2by the Court of Mr. S.P. Sabharwal, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Delhi. The said case has been adjourned.

Mr. SM. Aquil advocate appeared for the petitioner while Mr. CP. Nanda appeared for the State.
