STOCKTON: In a letter to the World Sikh News Mr A. Shaikh, President of the Kashmir Association of North America has urged all Muslims to unite against the tyrannical rule of Hindus in India. This letter gains special Significance in view of the ongoing Hindu Muslim riots in which Over 1,000 Muslims have been reported killed in Bihar.
We ask you to remember the five million enslaved Kashmiri Muslims to whom freedom has been denied for over forty years by India, despite a 1949 United Nations resolution calling for a plebiscite in Kashmir. For forty one years, eleven months and seventeen days India has flouted world opinion, thwarted international law and perpetuated a Nazi reign of terror in our beautiful homeland which was occupied by fraud in 1947.
“It is our sincere belief that Allah has heard our prayers and freedom for Kashmir is now around the corner thanks to the heroic struggle of the brave and gallant Sikhs (a warrior people who, unlike the Hindus, believe in one God and do not pray to any idol) who having been double crossed have declared the area they live in, Khalistan, independent of India as of ‘October 7, 1987. One look at the map of South Asia or India will tell you that the Star and Crescent of Islam will fly in Sirnagar, the Capital of Kashmir, the very day the Sikhs succeed in hoisting the Khalistan flag on the Golden Temple, the foundation stone of which incidentally was laid by a Muslim Saint Hazrat Mian Meer, in the Holy City of Amrit sarwhich day is not too far away thanks to the reign of terror unleashed by the “largest Democracy in the World” in the Punjab area of Khalistan. A Special Report published in the September 30, 1989 issue of India’s leading news magazine “INDIA TODAY” gives a graphic description of brutality, torture and genocide in the Punjab area of Khalistan. One of the photographs shows, one Baldev Singh, an innocent person according to INDIA TODAY, whose legs were broken during interrogation an interrogation held under an operation described by the Indian Police Chief as a very “humane operation by international standards ”some humane operation! At this very moment a Kashmiri patriot, Shabir Shah, who was arrested by the Indian police on September 28, 1989, is being tortured in an Indian jail “a la Baldev Singh” and we will soon hear that he too like Baldev Singh “broke his own legs during an escape attempt”.
“With very deep emotion we appeal to all compassionate Muslims to wholeheartedly support the brave Sikhs in their struggle for Khalistan as any support for these God fearing people is rap port for your five million Kashmiri Muslim brothers and their cause of freedom.
“You can generally express your support by making it a point of shaking hands with any turbaned Sikh you may come across and assuring him that as a Muslim you support his cause. Specifically, you can write to your Congressman, asking him to investigate the genocide and human rights abuse in Punjab or you can write to Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh, of Council of Khalistan, with an assurance that as a Muslim you support Khalistan”.
