STOCKTON, Ca: Sikhs living in the United States of America and Canada staged demonstrations and submitted memorandums on the 2nd anniversary of the Indian army’s attack on the Golden Temple and 38 other Sikh Shrines in which more than 10,000 Sikhs ‘were brutally butchered.
At Sacramento a large numbers ‘of Sikhs organized a very disciplined and dignified demonstration ‘on June 4th, 1986, outside the State Capitol building. A memorandum was read out before submission by Prof, Sidhu, editor-in Chief, and World Sikh News. It was handed over to Mr. McCarthy by S. Didar Singh Bains, President W.S.O. (International), S. Gurnam Singh Pamma, W.S.O. Vice-president (west) and Prof. Sidhu who later explained to him the nature and genesis of the Sikh problem.
At New York, W.S.0 staged a demonstration before the Indian Embassy. The demonstrators carried enlarged photographs relating to the gruesome massacre of innocent Sikhs and the destruction of the Sikh Shrines and library inside the Golden Temple Complex. The demonstration was widely covered by the television and the press.

Society, handed over a memorandum which was received by Mr. Ahmed on behalf of the Indian Ambassador. Mr. Ahmed tried to explain the position of the Indian government, Dr, Naunihal Singh told him “not to feel nervous because your government has no ‘ground to defend its genocide policy towards the Sikhs.”
At San Frat), a demonstration, before the Indian Consulate, was organized by the Gurdwara Freemont. The demonstrators read slogans of ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ and ‘Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale Zindabad’ and carried placards denouncing Indian government for ordering Operation Blue Star in 1984,
