JALANDHAR: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will organize rallies to mobilize the Dalits in the state 10 grab power by 1977 the movement would be launched with the party’s president Kanshi Ram addressing rallies at Noor Mahal Kharar and Jaspal Bangra (Ludhiana) on February 1623 & 24 respectively.
President of Punjab unit of the party Mohan Singh Dhaliwal told newsmen here on Feb.5 that his party would gherao the state assembly during the forthcoming budget session to protest against the corruption in high places and state sponsored terrorism He said Beant Singh would be the last Congress chief minister in the state and the BSP would grab power in the next assembly election
He said the Mandal recommendations would not help the back= ward class much as the list of benefited castes had been reduced drastically.
