LINDEN CA: Kammi Kaur Bisla granddaughter of the late Dr. Udham Singh and Gurbachan Kaur Bisla V. & P.O. Apra Jullundur Punjab India late S. Resham Singh and late Kartar Kaur Kullar and daughter of Sukhdev Singh and Gian Kaur Bisla graduated from Stanford University on June 161991. Kammi majored in Biological Science and graduated with distinction maintaining a 3.96 grade point average.

Kammi concentrated her biological studies on corneal eye research for which she received honors awards. She presented her research results at an international convention for ophthalmologists ARVO in Sarasota Florida in February and presently is submitting two articles to a scientific journal for publication regarding this research.

In addition to academic pursuits Kammi was involved in many activities during her Stanford career. She served as editor-in-chief of the Stanford University yearbook in 1990. In 1991 she served as a resident assistant (counselor and advisor) for the residents of her dormitory. Kammi also participated in many athletic intramural teams including volleyball soccer and basketball.

Kammi now plans to pursue a medical career. She was accepted at UCLA UC San Diego Baylor UC San Francisco and Stanford Schools of Medicine. She has elected to attend UC San Francisco School of Medicine. Although she has not decided on her area of specialty Kammi does plan to continue doing her research during her medical study and perhaps join the MD P h. D program at UC San Francisco.
