BOMBAY: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city unit President and city Corporator Ramdas Nayak and his bodyguard were shot last week by give unidentified assailants at Khar in northwest Bombay. The police said the assailants were on a motorbike and an auto rickshaw and sprayed bullets at Mr, Naik and his guard as both stepped out of the house around 10:30 a.m. The bodyguard was killed on the spot while Nayak was rushed to the Bhabha Hospital where he succumbed to his bullet injuries. The BJP sources here confirmed the deaths.
