TROY MI: The Sikh Society of Michigan Madison Heights organized a very successful blood donation dive with American Red Cross on June 8,1991 to commemorate the memory of the Sikh martyrs who laid down their lives while defending their faith at the hands of Indian Army which desecrated the Golden Temple (the holiest shrine of the Sikhs) on June 4,1984 The first blood donation dive was organized in November 1990 when a total of 32 units of blood were donated. This time there were 36 donations this correspondent is very proud lo have been a coordinator on both occasions By Raminder Singh M.D.
