CHANDIGARH: “People should. surround and block access to the police stations where fake encounters take place,” said Justice Ajit Singh Bains while addressing a public gathering at the Gurdwara Sukhchainana Sahib.
Justice Bains who is a retired judge of the Punjab and Haryana high court and the head of Punjab Human Rights Organization, said that the government was committing terrorist acts.
“The Barnala government could have released all the detainees in Punjab, but it faithfully followed the dictates of the Central Government,” he added.
“Guru Nanak Dev Ji has taught us to fight against injustice,” he added. Justice Bains was addressing the large gathering at a Bhog ceremony of Surinder Singh alias Chinder son of Santa Singh Bhaur a retired superintendent of police.
Surinder Singh was killed extra judicially by the police in a staged encounter on June 17.
