“Ever since then, the Sikh efforts to induce the Indian rulers to honor, the promises on the basis of which it had joined hands with the Indian National Congress, fought its battles for freedom, made immense sacrifices, and made the independence of India possible.

“But their peaceful efforts were I neared—and the Indian rulers continued to tighten the noose, culminating in the 1984 invasion of the holiest of Sikh shrines, followed by a regime of imprisonment, torture, rape, arson and genocide of the Sikhs.

“The Sikh nation finally rose to the situation and launched the struggle to break free of the fascistic stranglehold of the Brahmins, liberate their homeland from Indian occupation, and establish the sovereign state of Khalistan.

“Power drunk by her military might and economic resources, the chauvinist majority of IndiaBal Thakray and his ilk—has already started talking of India being a ‘Hindu State.’
