NEW DELHI: While two of the militants Harvinder Singh and Kuldeep were arrested by a team of the Delhi Police Special Cell from Baljet Nagar in West Delhi last Week, the third Rainder was arrested in Indore, Harvinder and Kuldeep wore produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, M.S.Sablarwal.

The three are said to be members of the Babbar Khalsa International Ratinder Singh alias Raniha was allegedly involved in the murder Of Dr.D.S. Tyagi, Chairman of the

Commission for Agriculture Costs and Prices.

During interrogation, Ratinder reportedly revealed’ that a large quantity of RDX had been smuggled ‘into Delhi and his associates’ were also expecting a cache of arms. He named Havinder Singh alias Bhola alias Bobby as one of his associates based in Delhi to whom he had handed over the consignment of explosives.

In April the police arrested Manoranjan Singh and Gurmeet Singh alias Gauri, and seized 28 kg of RDX from them, the two allegedly had planned to kill the Additional Sessions Judge who had convicted Bhai Ranjit Singh in the Nirankari Baba murder case.

Following up on information revealed by Ratinder Singh, police arrested Harvinder Singh from his house in Baljeet Nagar. His associate, Kuldeep Singh was also arrested’ from the same area. Harvinder Singh worked as a taxi driver while Kuldeep Singh Worked a5 in air conditioner mechanic in Kirti Nagar.

Harvinder Singh reportedly told the police that he had hidden the explosives in a factory in the Naraina industrial area. He said the factory was owned by his friend, Ashwinder Singh alias

Vicky, who runs a screen printing press, the later is yet to be arrested, police said.

Cases under the Explosive Substances Act, the Arms Act and TADA have been registered against Harvinder Singh and Kuldeep Singh. Sahaye said Ratinder had been meeting Joginder Singh, Tarlok Singh and Wadhawa Singh, the Chief of Babbar Khalsa in Punjab, and was instrumental in providing safe hideouts for them in Deihi.
