CHANDIGARH: The Bharatiya Janata Party leaders from Punjab Haryana and the Union territory of Chandigarh had a meeting with their party high command at New Delhi to seek guidance on the ticklish issues like territorial and river waters disputes which have kept the BJP units in these areas a house divided against its own party unit in the neighboring state because of the sensitive nature of the claims of the concerned territories.

A deputation of Haryana BJP state office bearers which met the party chief Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi L.K. Advani Atal Behari Vajpayee among others was told that the party favored a simultaneous resolution of all concerned matters Dr. Joshi and other leaders assured that the BJP would continue to mount pressure on the Congress (I) which was ruling in both Punjab and Haryana besides the Center to expedite resolution of these long standing issues.

In the meanwhile the Haryana BUP has set up a fact finding committee.
