NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party will press for a motion of censure against the Food Minister, Kalpnath Rai, over his role in the sugar scam. Jaswant Singh, deputy leader of the BJP in the Lok Sabha, said that he had served notice.
Briefing reporters, Singh accused the Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao, with “complicity” and “continuing cover-up” of the sugar scam.
