HYDRABAD, SOUTHERN INDIA, (PTI) :The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani hinted that his party was not averse to moving a no-confidence motion against the P V Narasimha Rao government in view of its dismal performance and failure on all fronts, in the last one year,

We do not make announcements like other parties, which did such things to cover up their shortcomings, he told a press conference here in Andhra Pradesh,

Advani said the opportunity to censure Rao’s government had been weakened by the left parties, which had decided to support the Congress-1 nominee in the presidential poll, For the first time in 45 years, the congress was in minority in the electoral college though it had a majority in the Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament), he said.

The national front-left parties combine had Tuesday decided to bring forward a no-confidence motion against the one-year-old Narasimha Rao government in the coming monsoon session of parliament against its ‘‘all round failure and anti-people economic policies”’.
