NEW DELHI : The BJP on Noy 14, urged prime minister Shekhar to adopt stern measures to check the outbreak of violence and prevent repetition of ugly incidents as those in Sadar Bazar in Delhi and Jalandhar.
In a statement here, party general secretary Krishan Lal Sharma, expressed deep concern over the riots in Sadar Bazar where seven persons were killed and several injured.
He apprehended a “deep rooted conspiracy behind the incidents of sacrilege of religious books,” and felt that “this could be a plot of some agent provocateur” and the Pakistan hand in it could not be ruled out.
