AHMEDABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Atal Behari Vajpayee on Wednesday categorically said there was no question of his party joining the National Front government at the center.

Asked at a press conference here if the Janata Dal would respond to Congress (I) offer to join hands, Vajpayee said he did not think the Dal would do that.

When asked if the BJP would continue to support Janata Dal, which was admitting Congress (I) men into their fold, Vajpayee said, “The Dal must not do so, however our friendship is based on program and policies. We are not against any individual.

He cautioned state leadership of both Janata Dal and BJP not to hurl abuses at each other.
