NEW YORK: S. Gurpartp Singh Birk, the computer expert form New York, and three others were found not guilty by the Jury in the trial for conspiracy to murder Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. They were also found not guilty for soliciting 10 overthrow the government of India,
‘The jury, however, found them guilty on two minor counts of conspiracy to receive explosives and to use them to overthrow Indian Government, Mr. Ronald Kurly, partner of William Consteler described the verdict as a tremendous victory.
‘The sentence for the two minor counts will be announced by the Judge on May 2, 1986, Earlier Birk along with four others was acquitted by a New Orleans Judge in what is known as Bhajan Lal assassination plot case.
