CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Chief Minister, Beant Singh, launched the first ever bilingual Punjabi-English electronic typewriter manufactured by a Noida based firm.

Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated his government’s resolve to promote Punjabi language at all levels. He said the introduction of the Punjabi electronic typewriter was a step in the direction of promotion of Punjabi language.

He said he would see to it that Punjabi was used in the state government offices at all levels.

The state government has placed order for the purchase of 100 Punjabi electronic typewriters to begin with.
