NEW DELHI: The former prime: minister of Pakistan Ms. Benazir Bhutto has expressed the view the bilateralism is the essence of the Shimla accord signed between India and Pakistan following the 1971 war.
Ms. Bhutto who is also the leader of the Pakistan’s Peoples Party further added that indeed bilateralism continues to be the cardinal principle of the Pakistan People’s Party dating back to the Shimla accord.
These views were expressed by Ms. Bhutto in reply to a letter to her response to his firm view that the Shimla accord mutually committed both countries to bilateralism.
