TRACY: Bibi Amrit Kaur Boparai reports that Poona jail authorities refused to accept two turbans sent by the Sacramento Gurdwara this week, Memphis Tenn. Federal Express agents, told Mrs. Boparai that Federal Express tried on Aug .8,10, and 11 to deliver the gifts from the
U.S. sangat, but could not succeed.
Asked about delivery to Bhai Jinda’s mother, Federal Express Said it could not guarantee delivery to such a small village.
Presently, these gifts of honor and respect are in India An attempt may be made to deliver via the mails to Bhai Jinda’s mother.
It has been learned that Bhai Jinda and Sukha were not aware of the parcel from Sacramento.
Obviously authorities have neither sympathy for the friends. of the two, or respect for the religious significance of the gift.
