NEW DELHI: BIBI Paljit Kaur, the wife of Paramjit Singh Panjwar, chief of the “Khalistan Commando Force” (KCF) and three of his associates have been arrested from their hide-out in the Capital.

Their arrest followed the nabbing of Balbir Singh, a brickkiln owner of Ghaziabad who had rented a house in the Outram Lane area of Kingsway Camp in north Delhi. According to police sources the house was being used as a hide-out by Punjab militants and had been visited by both Paramjit Singha and Harminder Singh Sultanwind, a member of the second Panthic Committee who committed suicide recently.

While Balbir Singh has been remanded to three days in police custody, Paljit Kaur, and their two other associates, Gurdip Singh alias Bittoo and Rani, have been sent to judicial custody.

According to sources in the Special Cell of the Central Invesgation Department (CID) Balbir Singh was intercepted while he was moving around in the Mukherjee Nagar area in his red Maruti car.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that Balbir Singh, belonging to Panjwar village in Amritsar district, had known Paramjit Singh since 1985,
