POONE: Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda told his close relations who went to meet him on the eve of his execution, along with Bhai Sukhdev Singh, that they should refrain from contesting elections or seeking political power on the lines of other relations of Sikh martyrs. Bhai Jinda’s mother, Bibi Gurnam Kaur, had met the two would-be-martyrs along with other close relations. Bhai Jinda advised them not to exploit their martyrdom in any manner. They also sent word to the militants in Punjab not to retaliate against their Execution because such an action would bring harm to the Sikhs of Poone at the hands of Hindus.
