FREMONTCA; A function was held to honor the memory of Bhai Barjinder Singh Panjwad senior vice president of Sikh Student Federation at the gurdwara Sahib here on August 18.

The Akhand Path which began on Friday was completed Sunday morning. A Diwan was held. Kirtan was performed by Bhai Kirpal Singh Hazoori Ragi of Darbar Sahib Amritsar and Bhai Amrik Singh Zakhmi.

Dr.Amarjit Singh spoke at length about the Sikh struggle for freedom Bhai Balbir Singh secretary gurdwara Sahib moved 11 resolutions which were unanimously passed with chants of Jo bole so nihal Sat Sri Akal.

The resolutions were:

  1. We pay tribute to Sikh freedom fighter Dr.Barjinder Singh Panjwad who laid down his life recently in the struggle for Khalistan.
  2. The governments of India and JP state are condemned for the shameful killings of 10 Sikh pilgrims near Pilibhit. We warn the Indian govt to stop killing innocent Sikhs. Almost 20-25 Sikh youths are being killed in fake encounters in Punjab every day and Sikh families are victims of torture. We request international bodies like UNO and Amnesty International to pressure govt of India to stop these criminal acts.
  3. We thank all those US Congressmen who raised their voice in the US Congress against Indian atrocities We hope that all truth loving political people of the world will help the Sikhs in obtaining Khalistan which is their birthright.
  4. We appeal for the release of Bhai Ranjit Singh and Bhai Sukhminder Singh great sons of Sikh nation from detention in New York. .
  5. We request the UK govt not to deport Bhai Karamjit Singh Bahu to India.
  6. We appeal to California Assemblymen to amend the law to exempt Sikhs from wearing helmets on motorcycles. Such exemptions are in force in England.
  7. We admire the efforts of European nations in their solidarity with people of Croatia and Slovenia in their struggle for self-determination The Sikhs expect such intervention from the international community in the liberation of their land from the illegal occupation by Hindu India.
  8. We condemn the atrocities by Hindu India on the brave people of Kashmir. We admire the Kashmir people’s courage and fortitude.
  9. The Delhi govt which is a stooge of Brahmanism is condemned for its meddling in the affairs of neighboring nations to promote its own selfish ends
  10. We request the US govt to cancel the visa of Vishwa Hindu Parishad chief Ashok Singhal currently on a tour of America. Singhal is spreading hatred against Sikhs and Muslims. This Indian agent is trying to spread hatred among Americans. We condemn the Indian govt’s attempt spread canards like Nirankar is Radhaswamis and Namdharis are sects 0 Sikhism which in tum is a sect of Hinduism. This was on display at the Indian Cultural fair in New Jersey last week. We admire those Sikhs who demonstrated against this blasphemy.
  11. We support Panthic Committee (Dr.Sohan Singh) in the Struggle for Khalistan But we admire all freedom fighters regardless of their organizational affiliations. We hail the decision at Anandpur Sahib of 30 Sikh groups to accept the leadership of militants. It is good step but long-lasting unity can come about on the basis of Khalistan.

The Sikh nation is warned to beware of Opportunities who have already damaged the movement due to their selfish molives.
