NEW DELHI: The Congress (I) East Delhi candidate, Mr. H.K.L. Bhagat” the butcher of Trilokpuri” has been tapping the Delhi Police to get feedback on the opposition’s activities and to assess the ruling party’s strength in his constituency.
The Station House Officers (SHO’s) of northeast and east districts Have been making their round to Mr. Bhagat’s residence in the last two weeks to give him a lowdown on the activities do his constituency.
In fact, soon after, Mr. Bhagat filed his nomination papers from the east, he had called for a meeting of all SHO’s in his house.
Several of them owe their existence to Mr. Bhagat and even last week two SHO’s called on him,” said a senior police official. His former personal security officer is now a SHO in east district.
It is also learnt that some SHO’s have been approaching business Men and traders in the east to help out in the “Butcher’s election campaign.
