Santa Clara CA: In May, WSN published the following statement by Dr.Amarjit Singh, Panthic Committee spokesman; It has now come to our attention that the group has relocated from New Delhi to New York. After their tour in Great Britain they travelled to the U.S. In the interest of our readers we reprint Dr. Amarjit statement below.
In a written statement received from Dr.Amarjit Singh, Spokesperson Panthic Committee, Khalistan Affairs Center he stated.
“A group of Sikhs claiming themselves to be intellectual elite has began a tour of the Western World under an agenda of forming a World Sikh University in Delhi as per directions of their masters Hindu Rulers of India.
The idea may sound to be very appealing but the credentials of this group comprising of Dr. Mohinder Singh, Tejwant Singh, Dr Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia and others are questionable.
Mohinder Singh, former director of Guru Nanak foundation, New Delhi has been very close to | Congress regime and now presently he isa manager of Bhai Vir) Singh Sahit Sadan also a pro-govt organization, Recently they published Guru Granth Sahib ji in a book form and presented it through Giani Zail Singh to the President of India in a function. The Sikh nation protested his blasphemous act he tendered an apology for this sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib which is a living embodiment of the Guru Sahib, This is worth noting that how these stooges of the Brahman India are out to destroy the very theological base of Guru Granth Panth by their pseudo-intellectual deeds. Tejwant Singh, son of Harbans Singh rebuilt Akal Takht through Sarkar Seva under the Indira Gandhi govt. after notorious Blue Star Operation in June 1984, against the Sikh wishes, Harbans Singh himself had appeared on national television during and after the attack at Darbar Sahib and 37 other Sikh historical shrines justifying such heinous crime,
Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia a well-known author was one of the main organizers of a seminar titled Sikhism and Inter-religious Dialogue held on Jan,6,1992 in New Delhi. It had the finance minister of India Manmohan Singh as a key note speaker. Originally they and had planned to have Dalai Lama a Buddhist leader as one of the main speakers. But later on committee changed its mind supposedly because of Dalai Lamas outspoken comments against the recent visit of Chinese Premier Li Ping to India. Since then Dalai Lama seems to have fallen from the grace of Indian govt. Instead governor of Punjab, Surrender Nath well known for his brutality in dealing with the Sikhs was invited as one of the main Speakers,
The man who butchered and slaughtered Sikhs mercilessly addressed the audience in intimidating presence of an army of armed guards. The irony is that he spoke on the ideals of Sikh Gurus and their message of love, peace and tolerance. Guru Nanak Sahibs words proved true.
Kazian Bahmanan Ki Gal Thaki
Agad Pareh Shatan Ve Lalo
“It is not kazi or Pandit who are interpreting religious books but devil is interpreting koran. –
Some Sikh intellectuals with dignity walked out in protest, $.Saran Singh Retd. IAS officer but currently the editor of prestige but currently the editor of prestigious magazine The Sikh Review” was one of them.
In the hope that well-meaning Sikhs in the west will exercise their good Judgement before contributing to this globe-trotting committee or giving them any recognition.
This is another sophisticated attack by Govt. of India in its undeclared war on the Sikhs. On one hand it is promoting pseudo-intellectual Sikhs who are ready to serve its interest and on the other hand to drain out Sikh resources in the west (money, attention, total commitment to the cause of an independent, Sovereign Khalistan) by advocating Sikh academic goals, or construction of big gurdwaras or through professional ragged has or preachers who refrain from uttering a single word about Indian brutality.
For the larger interest of the Panth we find it necessary to share this information with our Sikh brethren. So please beware of the designs of Indian regime.”
