Belleville: One of Canada’s largest circuit board manufactures and two of its executives are charged for “sofilifting.” Belleville based Circuits Inc. is charged under the Canadian copyright act following a tour month RCMP investigation. The case against Rexean is the first involving a software user. Ina bid to make ‘sofilifling’ socially unacceptable, the industry supported Canadian alliance against software setting up a toll free hotline people could call to give information. In an estimate, 8,200 million is lost each year by illegal copying of software diskettes.
