CHANDIGARH: Major Gen P.K. Gupta, deputy director general, army headquarters (movement) has been appointed the new chairman of the Bhakra Beas Management Board.
The post had been lying vacant after the previous incumbent Major Gen Kumar was shot by militants outside his residence last ear. ‘\Gen Gupta’s appointment points to the fact that the government is determined to take Punjab water to Haryana and Rajasthan by force.
