LUDHIANA, (PTI): The leftist parties will have electoral adjustment with the opposition National Front to oust the Congress (I) Government in the next months’. Parliamentary elections, state chief minister of West Benhal and senior leader of communist party of India Marxist (CPIM), Jyoti Basu said here on Oct 18.

Addressing a rally of the Indian Trade Union (ITU) in this city Basu said the leftist parties will meet within two or three days to discuss the election strategy and will finalize the list of their an candidates in a week. Meanwhile, Communist Party of India (CPI), favors seat adjustment between leftist and the centrist opposition Janata Dal. A constituent of National Front, in West Bengal for the Parliamentary elections. CPI is a constituent of the left front Government in the state.

We, however, have no idea about the number of seats the Dal wants to contest. The issue will be discussed at the left Front meeting on October 22, a senior member of the party state council said in Calcutta.
