NEW DELHI: Surjit Singh Barnala has been appointed Governor of Tamil Nadu state, a presidential communiqué said on Tuesday.
The appointment will take effect from the day Barnala assumed the charge of his office, the communiqué said.
It said the president has accepted the resignation of P.C Alexander as governor.
