CALCUTTA (PTD): An India airlines Bangkok-bound fight with 79 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Calcutta airport Aug.5, 40 minutes after take-off following hydraulic failure.
Airport sources said that the Calcutta-Bangkok airbus A-320 flight (1C-731), which took off at 0155 IST, made a safe emergency landing after the fault was detected, The flight has been cancelled for the day as the aircraft had to be grounded, the sources added.

Fernandes said he would get in touch with the Telugu Desam president, N.T.Rama Rao and AIADMK leader, Jayalalitha, as part of the efforts to rope in the two parties into the front.
