CHANDIGARH, India: According to the latest reports S, Parkash Singh Badal is Confined to his residence following what amounted to an undeclared ban on his visit to Delhi. Earlier, Mr. Badal was told that he will not be allowed to go to Delhi; all the barriers were alerted to keep a check on his departure to Delhi.
Mr. Badal has requested Ujjagar Singh Sekhwan, the acting Chief of U.A.D. to reach Chandigarh immediately to call on emergent meeting of U.A.D. Council which is likely to meet on Monday to lake stock of the situation, arising out of the ban on peaceful march to Delhi. Mr. Sekhwan who somehow managed to reach Delhi to lead this march, will be returning to Chandigarh,
Mr. Badal, it is learnt is making all out efforts to iron out the differences in the U.A.D. leader ship.
Mr. Badal while talking to pressmen wondered why the government was so apprehensive of their march to Delhi.
