KATHMANDU: Indian cine star Amitabh Bachchan, who quit politics after much publicized Bofors scandal, has ruled out the possibility of rejoining it.

In an interview telecast on Nepal television Tuesday night, Bachchan said he was a failure in politics as he could not resort to the business of “pampering people, so much required in the Indian political arena”. Asked why he had joined politics leaving the glamour of the silver screen, the former member of parliament said he was emotion ally surcharged after the

 Assassination of the former prime minister, Indira Gandhi, and jumped into the fray as they were family friends.

But I am not going to rejoin politics again he said.
