GUWAHATI: The All India Babri Masjid action committee convener, Zafaryab Jilani, accused the previous Congress (I) Federal Government for “playing the game of polarization of votes through communalism.”

Jilani told newsmen that the Congress (I) was interested in creating circumstances for a clash among different identities of the country adding “while the Congress (1) was seeking to protect minorities it also supported revivalist forces.”

The Qami Swaraj Morcha (QSM) consisting of 50 political organizations, including Akali Dal (Mann), Akali Dal (Badal), United Reservation Movement Council of Assam (URMCA), Jharkhand Kranti Dal, CPI (ML) and Quami Morcha, was formed to evolve a “federal” constitution to protect and preserve identities and “expose” the Congress (I), Jilani said.
