CHANDIGARH (PTI): Thirteen people, including 10 militants, one of them an Area Commander of the Babbar Khalsa, Partap Singh Sabra, were killed in the northern Indian state of Punjab since August 4

Gunmen shot dead two employees of aliquor vend at Kokri Kalan village in Moga sub-division of Faridkot district.

Sabra who according to police has been involved in more than 300 killings and his accomplice were killed in an encounter with security forces in Tarn Taran district,

Three militants of the Babbar Khalsa were killed in a separate encounter with security forces in Sangrur district.

Gunmen shot dead Chatar Singh, a priest, in Majitha police district. Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter in Sangrur district. A militant of the Bhindranwale Tiger force of Khalistan, was killed in a separate encounter in Majitha district.

Two militants were killed in separate encounters with the police in Ludhiana district and village Sialba in Ropar district. ; Militant Devinder Singh who was being escorted by the police escaped when a group of militants” ambushed the police party in Ludhiana district,
